Entering and Publishing Exam Results

Create exams, enter marks, and release NECTA-compatible report cards to parents.

1. Create the exam

In the Exams section, create an exam for the term, for example Mid-Term or Terminal Examination, and select the classes and subjects it covers. The grading scale applied depends on your school setup: PSLE-aligned for primary, NECTA CSEE tables for O-Level, and ACSEE for A-Level.

2. Enter marks

Subject teachers sign in to their own accounts and enter marks for their subjects through the Results Entry screen. Marks are validated against the configured scale as they are typed, so out-of-range entries are caught immediately. An administrator can also enter or correct marks centrally if needed.

3. Review computed grades

Once marks are in, the system computes grades, aggregates, divisions, and class positions automatically according to the grading tables. Review the exam summary before publishing: check for missing subjects, absent students, and any anomalies flagged by the system.

4. Generate and release report cards

From the Report Cards screen, generate branded PDF report cards for the whole class in one action. Each card carries the student's subject grades, position, division where applicable, and remarks. When you publish, results become visible in the parent and student portals, and an SMS notification can be sent to guardians telling them results are ready.

Tip: publish when complete

Publish results only after all subjects are entered and reviewed. Parents see exactly what you release, so a partial release leads to unnecessary calls to the school office.
